Quarantine restrictions reintroduced in Ulaanbaatar

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian government has decided to reintroduce quarantine restrictions for two weeks to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Ulaanbaatar city.
Restrictions were imposed for two weeks from December 23 to January 6, 2021 in Ulaanbaatar
31 people who were in the Central Hospital of the capital's Bayanzurkh district contracted the coronavirus. Authorities fear that a new cluster of infection has emerged in the city.
From November 11 to December 14 Ulaanbaatar authorities introduced strict quarantine restrictions to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Only grocery stores and pharmacies were allowed to work. Mass gatherings were banned, the number of passengers in cars was limited.
993 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Mongolia so far, 509 of them have recovered. No deaths were reported.
