Presidents of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan hold phone talks

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on December 21, the president's press service reported.
The leaders spoke for intensification of work of the joint intergovernmental commission for advancement of new industrial cooperation projects.
A particular attention was paid to promotion of contacts in culture, education, healthcare, organization of joint conferences and forums with broad participation of academa and culture workers.
President Mirziyoyev supported the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan to hold High-Level Conference in Ashgabat on occasion of the International Year of Peace and Trust. The agreement was reached that delegation of Uzbekistan will attend this event.
