8,338 domestic violence cases registered in Kyrgyzstan in 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - 8,337 domestic violence cases were registered in Kyrgyzstan for 11 months of this year, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development Ulan Mamytkanov said at the government meeting on December 29.
Particularly, these cases included 3,478 in Bishkek, 328 in Osh, 2,463 in Chui region, 598 in Issyk-Kul region, 274 in Naryn region, 261 in Osh region, 571 in Jalal-Abad region, 153 in Talas region, 211 in Batken region.
7,428 domestic violence cases were registered in 11 months of 2019.
7,961 protection orders were issued to abusers, including 613 orders for women and 7,348 for men, Deputy Interior Minister Oktyabr Urmambetov said.
