Voting results in presidential elections and referendum to be tabulated separately

AKIPRESS.COM - The voting results in the early presidential elections and the referendum will be tabulated separately, Central Election Commission Chair Nurjan Shaildabekova told a briefing.
Two slips will be provided to a voter upon successful biometric identification - one for the referendum ballot and the second for the presidential election ballot. A ballot for referendum will be blue and a ballot for the presidential elections will be white.
A voter needs to put a check opposite the name of the candidate he or she wants to vote for. If the ballot has more checks than one, it will be considered invalid.
In the ballot for referendum, voters will need to check either the presidential or parliamentary system or against both options.
Each polling station has 2 automated ballot boxes: one for the presidential elections and another for the referendum.
More than 600 technical operators across the country are ready to arrive at the polling stations when technical assistance is required.
Over 5,000 automated information system operators work at polling stations, they are members of election commissions.
