AKIPRESS.COM - "Thank you for supporting my candidacy. I will make all possible efforts to live up to your expectations," Sadyr Japarov said in his statement following the announcement of preliminary voting results in the snap presidential elections, where he gained 79% of votes.
"I came to power when economy, energy sector, politics were in a difficult situation. We will get out of economic crisis for 2-3 years. Political stability is needed. Corruption, economic crisis and clan ruling evolved for 30 years in Kyrgyzstan. We won't repeat mistakes of previous administrations," he said.
Everything will be open, the doors of the government are open to everyone, he added.
"We won't allow political persecutions. We won't keep old bureaucracy. Support of people is needed in this. People are wealth of any nation. We will return Kyrgyzstanis who work abroad - there are more than 2 millions of them. Let's repay the external debt," Japarov said.
He thanked his rivals. "They are experienced politicians, we will use their expertise, ideas for the benefit of the state. We will hold negotiations with them," Sadyr Japarov said.
Japarov said he did not expect to win 80% of votes. He said he expected to gain 60%.
According to the preliminary voting results as of 11.52 p.m., Sadyr Japarov gained 79.13% of votes in total, including 52.11% votes in Bishkek; 77.89% in Osh; 93.91% in Issyk-Kul region; 89.74% in Naryn region; 73.22% in Chui region; 83.14% in Talas region; 82.38% in Osh region; 87.22% in Jalal-Abad region; 74% in Batken region.
