German President congratulates Sadyr Japarov on his election as president

AKIPRESS.COM - German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier congratulated Sadyr Japarov on his election as president, the president's press office said.
He noted that Japarov is assuming the office at a difficult time. In addition to the enormous burden of the coronavirus pandemic on Kyrgyzstan, democracy is facing new challenges.
Kyrgyzstan and Germany were friends for almost 30 years. As a partner of Kyrgyzstan, Germany is confident that the close and trusting partnership will continue in the future.
He confirmed further support of Germany in promoting democracy, the rule of law and sustainable development in Kyrgyzstan.
Japarov was sworn in as the president of Kyrgyzstan on Jan 29.
