Ashgabat to host Turkey-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan summit

AKIPRESS.COM - Turkmenistan will host Turkey-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan High-Level Summit this year, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told the joint press conference following the 5th trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in Ankara. Minister Mavlut Cavuosoglu said the broad bilateral and trilaterl talks were held with Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeihun Bairamov and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov.
Having emphasized imporance of the trilateral meeting with his counterparts, Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Turkey is glad about signing of the memorandum of understanding between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan on joint exploration and development of the Dostlug hydrocarbon field in the Caspian Sea.
Minister Cavusoglu said the issues related to implementation of the given memorandum and possible role of Turkey in this were discussed during the trilateral talks.
Minister Cavusoglu said the sides also exchanged views on joint steps in fight against terrorism, regional and global issues.
