AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan has not registered Covid-19 variants, but virus tries to survive and mutates, Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said on March 18.
There are 3 COVID-19 variants now, he said, including UK, Brazil and South Africa variants.
"Kyrgyzstan communicates with the world. This is why virus mutations will eventually reach Kyrgyzstan. The new variants have similar symptoms," he said.
"We send some PCR test samples to Novosibirsk, Moscow. Up to now, Kyrgyzstan has not registered coronavirus variants," Minister Beishenaliev said.
