President Rahmon arrives in Sughd region

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon today arrived in Sughd region to attend Navruz celebrations, to inaugurate several sites and meet with locals, Khovar news agency reported.
Sughd region governor Rajabboi Ahmadzoda and local government officials met President Rahmon at Khujand International Airport upon arrival.
It was announced earlier Emomali Rahmon will visit Vorukh of Isfara district as part of his working visit to Sughd region.
Rahmon will visit Vorukh amid discussion of the statement of Kyrgyz National Security Committee Chairman Kamchibek Tashiev that Kyrgyzstan offered Tajikistan to exchange Vorukh and a territory in Batken region of Kyrgyzstan.
