Turkey ready to provide assistance to Kyrgyzstan in post-conflict reconstruction

AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev held a phone conversation with Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on May 1 at the initiative of the Turkish side.
Minister Cavusoglu offered condolences to people of Kyrgyzstan and said he was deeply saddened to learn about casualties as a result of the events on Kyrgyz-Tajik border on April 28-29.
Turkey welcomes the reached agreement on stabilization of situation and undertaken actions to prevent further escalation of tensions, Minister Cavusoglu said.
The sides agreed to cease fire and to withdraw troops and military machines from the border areas, Minister Kazakbaev said.
Minister Cavusoglu expressed readiness of Turkey to provide medical and humanitarian assistance, to support socio-economic restoration and reconstruction of infrastructure in the conflict-affected region.
