Probe launched into vote buying in connection with $10M allegedly given by ex-President Jeenbekov for Japarov's presidential election campaign

AKIPRESS.COM - Pre-trial investigation was launched in connection with the statement made by activist Melis Aspekov, the Interior Ministry said on May 14.
Melis Aspekov said on Facebook that incumbent President Sadyr Japarov received $10 million from ex-President Sooronbai Jeenbekov for his presidential election campaign. The money was allegedly spent for campaign in different regions of the country and vote buying respectively, the Interior Ministry said.
The investigation was launched into vote buying.
Lawyer of the ex-President Asylbek Kochkorov said the libel claim will be filed to the court against Melis Aspekov.
