AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Health and Social Development suggests re-introduction of several restrictions amid resurgence in coronavirus cases across Kyrgyzstan.
"We delegated the right to introduce restrictions to local authorities. For instance, restrictions were already re-introduced in Osh," Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told AKIpress.
Daily coronavirus cases are growing in Bishkek and Chui region, Osh.
"Our economy won't survive the second lockdown, this is why such restrictions like last year are not planned. We should urge people to avoid contacts, wear masks and only then we will succeed," the Health Minister said.
"We have proposed to close night clubs, to limit capacity of cafes and restaurants. Masks should be worn in public places and distance should be kept. Bishkek authorities are considering our suggestions on restrictions," Health Minister Beishenaliev said.
The number of coronavirus patients is the same like during the first and second coronavirus waves. There are enough supplies, oxygen concentrators, the Health Minister said.
"Medical workers can't defeat coronavirus alone. All should follow COVID-19 precautionary measures," the Health Minister said.
