President orders to work on opening of Baimak road checkpoint on Kyrgyz-Uzbek border

AKIPRESS.COM - Businessman Ulan Maksymbekov from Ala-Buka district asked to open the Baimak road checkpoint on Kyrgyz-Uzbek border during the meeting of President Sadyr Japarov with businessmen on June 23. Businessman said he received 20 hectares of land and started the project of trade and logistics center. The area borders with Kasansai district of Namangan region (Uzbekistan), Kyrgyzstan has the Baimak road checkpoint with Uzbekistan there, he said.
At the ground breaking ceremony, it was said that until the buildings needed for border guards and phytosanitary control and veterinary staff are built, the checkpoint will not open, businessman said. "If that's the point, we are ready to help build it together so that the issue is resolved faster," said the entrepreneur.
President Sadyr Japarov said it is possible to open the checkpoint and asked the State Customs Service chief to start working on it from tomorrow. "If a logistics center is being built, we need to open. Together with the border guards, you must start the work," the president instructed.
