Uzbekistan sending heavy weaponry to Tajik-Afghan border - report

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbek military personnel together with military personnel from Tajikistan and Russia will protect Tajik-Afghan border in case of intrusion of militants from the neighboring country.
The large-scale military drill of armed forces of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia will be held on the border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan from August 1-10, Asia-Plus reported with reference to sources in the government of Tajikistan.
The anti-terror drill of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia will be held at the Harbmaidon military training ground on the border with Afghanistan.
Air forces, air defense forces, armored vehicles, special task forces of three countries will partake in the drill.
The armed forces will coordinate their actions on the border in case of penetration of terrorists from Afghanistan to Tajikistan.
This will be first drill of armed forces of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia.
