Police switches to reinforced regime in connection with May holidays

Bishkek, Apr. 30, 2019. / Kabar /. The police in Kyrgyzstan will work in a reinforced mode during the May holidays.
The solemn actions and the national festivals dated for celebrating the Day of Solidarity of Workers, the Day of the Constitution and the Victory Day are planned in the beginning of May across all the republic. May holidays will be accompanied by a significant number of mass and socio-political events, in which a large number of citizens participate, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
Police officers are faced with the task of ensuring law and order and public safety on the streets and in public places, carrying out preventive measures to prevent and suppress offences and crimes.
Protection of especially important, strategic and protected objects, objects of life support and vital activity will be strengthened during the events.
More than 8,000 police officers and more than 5,000 voluntary national teams will ensure the safety of citizens in order to ensure public order and security during the preparation and holding of festive events on the territory of the republic.
More than 3 thousand employees of the Bishkek garrison will be involved during the events dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and during the Immortal Regiment procession.
The main purpose of the events is to ensure proper order and quiet rest for the citizens of Kyrgyzstan during the May holidays, the report said.
