Atambayev says he will resist if police will try to force him to come to interrogation

AKIPRESS.COM - Ex-President Almazbek Atambayev said he is ready if the Interior Ministry will try to force him to come to the interrogation.
He said he won't let police in.
"They are not interested in truth and they have a task to shut me up. They think that everybody will shut up then," Atambayev said at his home on July 8 in Koi-Tash village.
Earlier, Atambayev dismissed the police summons. He was summoned to the interrogation with the Interior Ministry as a witness set for July 9 morning.
On June 27, Parliament of Kyrgyzstan voted for stripping Almazbek Atambayev of his immunity.
Atambayev was accused of illegal freeing of crime boss Aziz Batukayev from prison, concealment of income, illegal land purchase, corruption in the modernization of the Bishkek power plant and the illegal supply of coal to the power plant. The General Prosecutor's office backed the accusations partially.
Atambayev slammed the parliament and said accusations against him are "completely absurd, have no legal ground and are based on rumors." He said he will resist his arrest.
