12 under-age children including 5 for murder serving sentences in Jalal-Abad remand prison

AKIPRESS.COM - There are 12 under-age children, including 5 arrested for murder, are serving sentences in a remand prison of Jalal-Abad town, Deputy Ombudsman Gulnara Jamgyrchiyeva said upon conclusion of her working visit to the town. The raid was made in 15 detention centers. The Deputy Ombudsman held talks with the workers and inmates and checked the living conditions and quality of nutrition of children.
Violation of rights of children on nutrition was revealed during the monitoring of the Kara-Suu special children boarding school. The government allocates 28 som a day for nutrition of each child, which is not enough for adequate nutrition, Jamgyrchiyeva noted.
