Tashkent has lowest voter turnout: CEC

AKIPRESS.COM - Tashkent has the lowest voter turnout in the parliamentary and local elections among all regions of Uzbekistan, said Central Election Commission Cchairman Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov. Only 946,103 out of 14,149,925 voters from Tashkent took part in the elections making voter turnout in Tashkent only 66.9%, he said, the lowest turnout among 14 regions of Uzbekistan.
Abdusalomov said this happens in every big city of the world, not only Tashkent.
"State bodies should make conclusions out of it," he added.
