AKIPRESS.COM - Acting mayor of Bishkek Balbak Tulobaev suggested the peak of COVID-19 epidemic in Bishkek will occur around November 15-20.
"The coronavirus situation is not that difficult in the capital, it comes in waves. If the situation does not change, we will get through with God's help. We have passed this in July already: supplies of medicines, medical workers, volunteers, we need to prepare these all," he said.
Bishkek sanitary inspector Kuban Kundashev said epidemiological situation in Bishkek remains tense. The total number of confirmed coronavirus and pneumonia cases made 20,504, including 112 cases for the last day.
The self-diagnostics line 118 was relaunched since October 10. The hotline operators received 2,723 calls for less than a month, 1,505 of calls were about coronavirus.
In case the situation gets worse, 26 makeshift hospitals with 1,450 beds will be reopened.
