Japarov prioritizes adoption of anti-crisis measures, optimization of governance

AKIPRESS.COM - "We face the urgent task of stabilizing economy, addressing effects of coronavirus pandemic, in other words we need to adopt urgent anti-crisis measures," President Sadyr Japarov said after the newly appointed Prime Minister and government members were sworn in at Parliament on February 3.
"We need to urgently develop the program of sustainable economic growth. One of the launched reforms includes optimization of governance system, that is reduction of overgrown government machine, implementation of a new staff policy. These measures are expected to result in prompt decision making and faster document management," Japarov said.
President Japarov referred to optimization of governance in energy sector: "We intend to develop vertical integration model with experts and realize it together. The economic effect from proposed model will make 2 billion soms. We will carry out same reforms in each sector and each Ministry, which would bring the highest economic effects and will allow to use resources efficiently," Japarov said.
Japarov urged all government members to work under slogan "Every moment is precious for my country! My duty is to work honestly for the benefit of citizens of Kyrgyzstan."
"I think an active and experienced team gathered in the government, which does not know what tiredness means. People closely watch the actions of each Ministry and all of us and will demand effective work from us. Every Minister should carry out reforms for the benefit of the state, not in the interest of certain groups and individuals," Japarov told the government members.
