AKIPRESS.COM - Politician Omurbek Tekebayev intends to reclaim his MP's mandate.
Today, the Pervomai district court of Bishkek acquitted Omurbek Tekebayev and Duishonkul Chotonov, former Minister of Emergency Situations. Public prosecutors refused from bringing up charges against them.
Tekebayev told reporters that the prosecutor's office should "acknowledge its mistakes."
He said he intends to challenge the ruling stripping him of his mandate in order to reinstate his seat in the parliament. "Not only the political rehabilitation is very important, but also the legislative one," Tekebayev added.
