Doctors without Borders provide medical and psychological assistance to Batken residents

AKIPRESS.COM - Medical workers of the Doctors without Borders provide medical assistance and psychological support to Batken residents affected by the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
Mobile medical clinics and psychological aid service are working in Batken since May 1.
Team of psychologists offers individual consultations, mainly to women and children, to prevent stress disorders among affected and displaced people.
"Most people have distress, anxiety, acute stress reactions, others demonstrate stress disorders, chronic distress and depression. Most people already have symptoms of stress disorder, since this part of the region have often border incidents and tensions," psychologist Jazgul Atakulova said.
