Bishkek, Sept.23, 2019. /Kabar/. As part of the Fourth Meeting of Speakers of the Eurasian Parliaments (Kazakhstan), Kyrgyzstan’s Parliament (Jogorku Kenesh) Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov met with Speaker of Parliament of Moldova Zinaida Greceanîi, the press service of the Parliament reported.
The Kyrgyz speaker said he is sincerely glad to meet and get acquainted with Greceanîi and congratulated her on election as speaker of the Moldovan parliament. Dzhumabekov voiced hope such meetings will help the two countries to consolidate the inter-parliamentary relations.
Speaker Dzhumabekov stressed Kyrgyzstan is interested in the development of mutually beneficial and partnership cooperation with Moldova in political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The development of inter-parliamentary relations plays an important role in strengthening relations between Kyrgyzstan and Moldova, Dzhumabekov said. He noted the interest in further strengthening ties between the parliaments of the two countries.
Referring to the bilateral cooperation, Dzhumabekov suggested boosting the trade and economic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Moldova.
For her part, Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Zinaida Greceanîi proposed to step up the work of the parliamentary friendship groups.
"Our countries are united not only by the past, but also by the present. The two parliamentary republics should be in close contact. We have a Friendship Group with Asian countries in the Parliament. I think that our parliamentarians should meet and exchange experience. I would also like to invite you to pay official visit tovMoldova," Greceanîi said.
The head of the Moldovan Parliament also said the two countries can actively cooperate in the agricultural sector and work in other fields.
Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov accepted the invitation to visit Moldova.
Note that, the Parliamentary Delegation includes following deputies: Mahabat Mavlyanova, Urmat Samayev, Almaz Zhutanov, Nodirbek Karimov.
