AKIPRESS.COM - Switching of CHHP to gas will solve 70-80% of smog problem, said acting Deputy Prime Minister Ravshanbek Sabirov at the parliament committee session on Jan 25. During the meeting, MP Tariel Jorobekov asked how smog is going to be tackled if low-quality coal is still used.
Government representatives said constructing a laboratory to assess the quality of coal in the Kara-Keche mine and checking the license of the company is under way.
Kara-Keche coal was found to be good in terms of ash and caloric content.
