Food prices up by 18% in Jan 2021 compared to Jan 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages in January 2021 compared to January 2020 increased by 18.5% in Kyrgyzstan, according to the National Statistics Committee. Biggest increase in prices was observed for vegetable oil - 54.6%, potatoes - 46.3%, eggs - 35.4%, sugar - 33.1%, meat - 27.5%, flour - 16, 5%, fresh fruit - by 15.1%, pasta - by 16.6%, soft drinks - by 6.9%, pasteurized milk 2.5-3.2% fat - by 5.5%, bread - by 5.2%, fish - by 3.3%.
Prices of wheat decreased by 5.4%, chicken legs by 1.9%, biscuit cakes 0.1%.
